Project Refreshing Honor

Honoring our Hometown Heroes, one house at a time with
a small token of gratitude from my family to yours!

Nominate a deserving local veteran or veteran family in DeLand, FL for a free room makeover! This giveaway covers labor and paint for walls and trim in one room, or common area (up to ~300 sq. ft. of floor space, e.g., living room, kitchen, or primary bedroom). Ceilings are excluded. Please share their story and the details of the space below. Submissions close 9/15/26. Final recipient will be selected based on project scope and community impact. Finalists will be requested to provide a few photos of the project area.

Terms & Project Scope Limitations

By submitting a nomination for Project Refreshing Honor, you acknowledge and agree to the following project parameters:

Scope of Service: This giveaway includes standard prep work (minor spackling, light sanding, and tape/drop-cloth protection), labor, and wall/trim paint for one (1) room or common area up to 300 square feet of floor space.
Exclusions:
- Ceilings, doors, and cabinet painting are explicitly excluded.
- Extensive wall repair, drywall restoration, sheetrock replacement, or water-damage repair are not included.
- Lead-based paint abatement, wallpaper removal, or heavy surface remediation are excluded.
Property Condition: The room must be clear of clutter and accessible. Heavy furniture must be moved away from walls prior to the agreed-upon project date.
Location Limit: The property must be a single-family home or residential dwelling located within DeLand, FL city limits or immediate surrounding areas.
Selection & Right of Refusal: Selection of the recipient is at the sole discretion of Morrotto Coatings LLC based on project scope, accessibility, and community impact. Morrotto Coatings LLC reserves the right to substitute or adjust the selected space if the initial room requires structural or extensive surface repairs beyond the standard repaint scope.

- Why They Deserve It: Tell us about this veteran and why they deserve a fresh coat of paint.
- Room / Space Description: Describe the specific room or common area (up to ~300 sq. ft. of floor space; walls and trim only).
- Photos: Attach clear photos of the room/space being nominated.
- Consent Confirmation: Include a brief statement confirming: "I confirm that I am the homeowner (or have the homeowner's permission) and agree that photos of the project area and the nomination story may be shared publicly by Morrotto Coatings for promotional and community outreach purposes."
- Project Scope agreement: Include a brief statement confirming: I have read, understand, and agree to the project limitations and standard repaint scope outlined above.
